Our Story
The Counter is a neighbourhood institution in the heart of Petersham, a short walk from the station. We serve specialty coffee with rich chocolate notes, fresh seasonal food crafted from locally sourced produce, and the kind of warm welcome that turns first-timers into regulars.
From a classic Eggs Benny or Smashed Avo to our legendary Rueben Royale, Brooklyn Pastrami Burger, house-made Pannacotta Granola, signature cold brews and indulgent smoothies — everything is made with care. We're a community, not just a café.
